Ramya Haridas is a woman Congress leader from Kerala. She is the sitting MP for the Alathur Lok Sabha Constituency. This is the second time Ramya is seeking the seat from Alathur. In 2019, she won with a majority of 1,58,968 votes. In the most recent Lok Sabha election, Ramya was also the sole elected female MP from Kerala.
Ramya, who is 38 years old, was born in the Kozhikode district on January 11, 1986. Ramya belonged to an economically backward Dalit family. Ramya Haridas's mother worked as a tailor, while her father was a daily wage worker. Since her time in college, Ramya has been involved in Congress politics. The Lok Sabha candidature came when she was serving as the president of Kunnamangalam block panchayat in Kozhikode district.
Ramya has spoken many times for the upliftment and welfare of women in the Lok Sabha. She is a good singer also. She uses her singing capability for Election campaign. And She is unmarried too.
