"Vijay to play Yudhisthir"- Big B on Television in "Yudh"

Do you remember Abhimanyu Rai? TV buff still remember him as a 'fauji'. Now you all can make out about whom I am talking , yes 'Badshah of Bollywod', Shahrukh Khan. From "Fauji " Shahrukh khan became every household favorite star who rose to stardom that is not seen so often. TV has been debutant medium for many other actors too, some could feature themselves in films and some could not. Today TV has given birth to several characters which are being liked and even worshipped. Film stars and directors are promoting their upcoming films through daily soaps and realty shows. Few film actors of bygone era have identified potential of this medium and are making come back through TV.

Reach of television to every household and usage of DTH and cable to watch number of channels has forced filmmakers to promote their films on television. Television has provided various film stars an another platform to sharpen their acting skills. Few months before we saw '24 ' TV series in which Anil Kapoor acted along with various other film and TV stars.'24' with its different storyline and presentation was hit and accepted by Indian audiences.

Now Big B Amitabh Bachchan is also making his debut with TV series 'Yudh' that is directed by Anurag Kashyap and will be aired on Sony. Big B has hosted many seasons of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 'earlier but this time his character as a corporate facing challenges at professional and personal level will be put to test. We will also see actress Sarika as Big B's wife, Nawazuddin Siddique and Kay Kay Menon in other interesting characters in Yudh that will telecast soon on Sony Entertainment channel.

Hopefully Big B will able to magnify his image for television audience too and his character 'Yudhisthir Sikarwar ' will remain alive for years to come like his filmi avatars or image of 'Vijay' in his films.
